What is New in 2023?
Chevrolet redesigned the Colorado and added a Trail Boss trim to its lineup. The new Colorado comes with one engine, an inline-four engine with three states of power, depending on the trim level. The ZR2 trim has even better off-road capability. For the newest model, the Chevy Colorado comes in the following trim levels:
- ZR2
- Z71
- Trail Boss
- LT
- WT

Performance
The new Chevy Colorado has a standard inline-four engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission on all trims. A standard 2.7-liter turbo engine on the WT and LT models has 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque for your trips to Summerville. A standard 2.7-liter turbo-plus engine on the Z71 and Trail Boss models offers 310 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. A standard 2.7-liter turbo high-output engine on the ZR2 model delivers 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque for your journeys around North Charleston. Additionally, the Chevy Colorado has a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.
Exterior and Interior Features
On the exterior, the Trail Boss trim comes standard with 18-inch aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires, so you can get into the backcountry without worrying about weathering the worst. The LT trim has a body-color front fascia, door handles, and rear bumper giving it an aggressive look.
Inside, the Chevy truck has cupholders, a new center console, and an optional sunroof. The standard cup holders help you hold your coffee and drinks when you bring them with you. Plus, the new truck's sunroof enables you to experience the outdoors in a whole new way. It provides fresh air and a sense of freedom.

Technology
The new Colorado has an 11.3-inch diagonal touchscreen infotainment display, an 11-inch diagonal driver information center, an optional extra-large wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto compatibility. The 11.3-inch touchscreen displays vital information on navigation, vehicle performance, and media.
With wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can use your smartphone apps right on your truck's built-in screen. It also offers 10 optional camera views to assist you in hitting the open road with clarity.
The wireless charging system is easy to use by placing your device on the pad and allowing it to charge automatically via built-in inductive technology. A USB-A to USB-C cable is available with your purchase if you'd prefer to use a cable.
Safety
The upgraded Chevy Colorado has features to keep you safe by helping you avoid accidents. The safety features available for the Chevrolet truck include forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking (AEB), front pedestrian braking, lane keeping assist (LKA) with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and Intellibeam® auto high beam assist.
The forward collision alert is a fancy term for a system that monitors your distance from other vehicles or objects ahead of you. If you're getting too close, it will sound like an audible alert. The AEB works by using a combination of cameras and lasers to detect objects in front of the truck, such as cars, obstacles, and pedestrians; if the vehicle is about to crash into one of these objects and it's moving fast enough, the AEB will automatically apply the brakes to help prevent or at least mitigate the damage from a collision.
The lane departure warning feature can be handy for those who frequently drive on unfamiliar roads around Mt. Pleasant or work long stretches of a highway. It can help prevent accidents caused by falling asleep at the wheel or missing exits due to not paying attention.

We invite you to test-drive the Chevy Colorado at our Moncks Corner dealership. Our team can assist you in selecting the right trim for your needs.
